OUR PROJECTS

GULDASTA - An Educational Project
At the heart of Vasundhari Society's mission to empower underprivileged communities is Project GULDASTA, a comprehensive educational initiative that provides free, high-quality schooling to children in the Sarita Vihar area of New Delhi. Recognizing that access to education is a fundamental right and a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, the organization has poured its passion and resources into creating a nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive. The GULDASTA school offers a robust curriculum that goes beyond traditional academics, incorporating essential life skills, character-building workshops, and engaging extracurricular activities. With dedicated teachers, modern learning resources, and a supportive community, the students are empowered to unlock their limitless potential, developing the knowledge, confidence, and critical-thinking abilities to become agents of positive change in their own lives and communities. Beyond the classroom, Vasundhari Society's holistic approach to education ensures that the children's basic needs are met, providing them with nutritious support, access to healthcare services, and essential school supplies. By addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by these underprivileged youth, the organization is fostering an environment where they can focus on their studies and pursue their dreams with unwavering determination.
Currently, we are providing education to around 80 students in the Morning shift. We follow non-formal education norms along with the CBSE board pattern, using NCERT books as part of our curriculum.
Despite facing challenges such as limited space, staff shortages, and financial constraints, Guldasta School remains committed to empowering children through holistic education.

OUR ROADMAP AHEAD: Skill Development and Livelihood Support

The Skill Development and Livelihood Support Program is designed to break the cycle of poverty by equipping individuals—especially youth and women from marginalized communities—with employable skills and sustainable income-generating opportunities. Recognizing that limited access to quality education and training often restricts career prospects, the program focuses on both vocational expertise and life skills that empower beneficiaries to become self-reliant and financially secure.
Our approach is holistic and inclusive. Alongside technical training in tailoring, carpentry, handicrafts, and other trades, participants will also benefit from workshops on communication, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. This blend ensures they are not only job-ready but also capable of managing and growing their own small enterprises.
To strengthen outcomes, we are building partnerships with local industries, training institutions, and government schemes, creating direct pathways to employment and market linkages. Special attention will be given to women, enabling them to overcome barriers, participate actively in the workforce, and contribute to household income—uplifting entire families in the process.
Through this initiative, we envision resilient, self-sufficientcommunities empowered to lead change. Each skill acquired becomes more than just a livelihood opportunity—it restores dignity, fosters independence, and ignites hope for a brighter future.
